The software allows users to scan their local area network to identify all machines and internet devices on the LAN. Key features of IP Scanner Ultra include extremely fast scan results, customizable outcomes allowing users to assign custom names and icons to discovered devices, saving and reviewing past scans, and built-in tools like PING, Wake on LAN, and Port Scan. Users can open devices in a browser or VNC application, save and import custom device lists using iCloud sync, sort network lists by various parameters, receive system-level notifications for new devices or changes in device state, add custom network ranges, and import/export scan results via email or bonjour. The software boasts a clean and professional design for ease of use.
